The Accessibility Standard for the Executive Branch is still to meet Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act
and Priority Level 2
of the W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0
, implemented in May of 2002.
The purpose of the rewrite of the Accessibility Standard is to separate it from the 7020 Design Standard and to clarify misperceptions of the Accessibility Standard.

The Kentucky Enterprise Web Design Template (EWDT) is mandated for agencies to use in building new web sites or major revisions to existing web sites that are accessed by the public. Web applications available to the public and intranet web sites do not have to use the EWDT.
Please use the latest version available when designing new sites.

Application for Web Server ID - If your Web site pages will reside on the Commonwealth Internet/Web server (www.state.ky.us or ky.gov), you will be charged a monthly fee based on the amount of storage space used for your agency's site, user directories, and dedicated FTP directories. The storage space will be calculated at a directory level and will include all subdirectories below this level (unless lower levels are billed to another COT Billing Number). Kentucky.gov Portal Information - The COT Web Development Group has assembled several documents relating to the new Kentucky.gov portal.
